NaNOWriMo simply didn’t work for me this year — how about you? Did you give it a try, and did you meet your goals?
A few months ago, I told you about NaNoWriMo — National Novel Writing Month — which took place last month (November). I signed up (it was free) for the fun and fully intended to shoot for the goal of writing a 50,000 word novel between November 1 and November 30.
Unfortunately, I let so many other things (all of them, or most of them, good things) get in the way that I got nothing done with NaNoWriMo. That novel masterpiece remains at 3 chapters written a couple of years ago.
Did any of you reading this give NaNoWriMo a go? How did it work out for you? I would love to have you leave a comment and tell us about your experience with the exercise.
Meanwhile, I have an ebook I purchased a few years back that I’m dusting off for another look. It’s called “The Easy Way to Write a Novel in 30 Days or Less.” I’m serious. I own the ebook. It’s got some great motivational and actual step-by-step planning stuff in it. I’m planning to reread it and give it a try. Who knows?
